To avoid reducing efficiency and raising operation costs, we encourage investing in the protection of your equipment. Konica Minolta Sensing offers two different levels of Extended Warranty & Calibration Plans, each designed to fit your equipment needs and most importantly, fit your budget.
- Silver: Members receive an extended one-year equipment warranty and Preferred Member service time for yearly instrument calibration. Maintenance includes white tile certification, parts, labor, cleaning of optics and calibration of instrument. Accessories are not covered.
- Gold: Members receive an extended one-year equipment warranty and Preferred Member service time for yearly instrument calibration. In addition, a loaner instrument is provided during the scheduled service of the unit. Maintenance includes white tile certification, parts, labor, cleaning of optics and calibration of instrument. Accessories are not covered.
Color (L*a*b*)
- Uniquely corresponds to Measurement Condition M1 of ISO 13655.
- The world's first M1 type. Konica Minolta's original VFS (Virtual Fluorescence Standard) technology enables L*a*b* measurements corresponding to ISO 13655 Measurement Condition M1 (CIE Illuminant D50).
- In addition, color measurements corresponding to ISO 13655 Measurement Conditions M0 (CIE Illuminant A) and M2 (illumination with UV-cut filter) can also be taken.
- Industry's first automatic wavelength compensation function.
- Wavelength compensation is performed automatically at the time of white calibration, so there is no extra work required.
- Wavelength compensation, which could previously be performed only through manufacturer servicing, can now be performed daily, drastically increasing the reliability of measurement values.
- Enables color measurements that correspond more closely with visual evaluation.
- When using conventional instruments to measure materials printed on substrates containing fluorescent whitening agents (FWA), large differences between the results of measurements and visual evaluation may occur. With the new FD-7/FD-5, measurement results correspond more closely to visual evaluation results, including the effects of any FWA in the paper.

WARRANTY explained:
- Konica Minolta Sensings new equipment is covered by a 1 year warranty from the date of purchase. Upon inspection, if the product is proven to be defective, it will be repaired free of charge. Following the date of a repair, the warranty will be extended for 90 additional days or the remaining period of the warranty, whichever is longer.
- The warranty does not apply in the following cases: (a) damage to the product due to mishandling, alteration, accident, impact, dropped, sand, liquid or moisture damage, tampering, battery or chemical corrosion; or, (b) failure to follow operating, maintenance or environmental instructions prescribed by the applicable instruction manual or shipping damage; or, (c) damage caused during service performed by other than Konica Minolta Sensing; or, (d) if the product has had its serial number(s) or other identifying data removed.
