The CG277 **Self-Calibrating 27 Inch LED LCD with Built-In Sensor**

Built-In Calibration Sensor The ColorEdge CG277 comes with an industry-first built-in calibration sensor so you can schedule the monitor to self-calibrate at your convenience. A high-grade built-in sensor is housed within the monitor's bottom bezel and swings up over the center bottom of the screen when calibration begins. This built-in sensor eliminates the need for a third-party calibration device and even operates in portrait mode.

Self-Calibrating Monitor Using either the OSD menu or the bundled ColorNavigator software, you can schedule the ColorEdge CG277 to self-calibrate at a specific time and at specific intervals.

OS-Independent Calibration Since the PC itself is not necessary for self-calibration, the ability to calibrate the monitor is not dependent on using an operating system supported by the ColorNavigator software. Therefore, a calibrated ColorEdge CG277 can be used with Linux even though ColorNavigator currently does not support this OS (Call CHROMiX if you have Linux questions)

Factory Adjustment of Gamma

To ensure that each ColorEdge CG277 produces the most accurate and consistent color gradations possible, EIZO carefully measures and sets every shade of R, G, and B from 0 255 on the production line with the monitor's 16-bit Look-Up Table, to produce a monitor gamma value of 2.2. Should the user prefer a different value, ColorNavigator software can be used to set the gamma value from a range of 1.0 up to 2.6 in increments of 0.1.

Monitor-level Hardware Calibration with EIZO Color Navigator

Color Navigator is Eizo's proprietary Pro-level calibration software that lets you calibrate the internal graphics of the ColorEdge CG277 itself (regarded as a 'hardware-level' calibration) rather than the computer's graphics board (regarded as a 'software-level' calibration). Color Navigator also allows the calibration data to be stored on the the CG277's internal 16-bit Look Up Table memory (LUT). This internal process is superior and ensures more accurate and predictable color. Color Navigator is included with the CG277 and works with the internal sensor. Color Navigator is also compatible with most popular sensors (i1Pro, i1Pro2, ColorMunki, Spyder3/4, i1Display2/Pro + more).

Correlation with Other Sensors The ColorEdge CG277 can be correlated to the measurement results of an external calibration sensor. This is convenient if the CG277 is used in a work environment with other ColorEdge monitors and one measurement device must be used as a standard for all calibrating. Correlation is done with a new 'Correlation Utility' included with the bundled ColorNavigator software.

3D LUT for Better Additive Color Mixture

The ColorEdge CG277 utilizes a new EIZO-developed 3D LUT. Whereas a typical 1D LUT adjusts color on separate tables for each red, green, and blue, a 3D LUT accomplishes this on a single, mixed-color cubic table. A 3D LUT improves the monitor's additive color mixture (combination of RGB), a key factor in its ability to display neutral gray tones.

Wide Color Gamut

The ColorEdge CG277 reproduces 99% of the Adobe RGB color space so it can display most colors in a digital photo taken in Adobe RGB mode. Furthermore, it also has an sRGB mode to accurately reproduce colors in this narrower but commonly used color space, such as those seen on web pages or digital photos taken in sRGB mode.

Wide Area, High Resolution Screen

The ColorEdge CG277 features a 2560 × 1440 native resolution across its 27-inch screen. This is more than double the pixels of a 19-inch monitor with a 1280 × 1024 resolution and 60% more than a monitor with a 1920 × 1200 resolution. This gives you plenty of room to spread out your windows and palettes.

Brightness and Color Uniformity with DUE

Fluctuations in brightness and chroma on different parts of the screen are characteristic of LCD panels. Generally, the larger the screen, the more noticeable these uniformity errors become. EIZO's Digital Uniformity Equalizer (DUE) helps to compensate for these errors, resulting in a much more uniform image.

Brightness and Color Temperature Stability

To ensure proper display of color, the ColorEdge CG277 comes equipped with patented EIZO technology that stabilizes the monitors brightness level after startup or coming out of power saving mode. Furthermore, a temperature sensor detects and automatically suppresses changes in color and brightness caused by fluctuations in the surrounding temperature.

10-Bit Simultaneous Display and Three Inputs Including DisplayPort

The ColorEdge CG277 can display 10-bit color from a 16-bit look-up table via its DisplayPort, DVI-D or HDMI inputs*. This is more than 1 billion colors shown simultaneously which is 64 times greater than the 16.7 million colors of 8-bit display. The result is even smoother color gradations and reduced Delta-E between two adjacent colors. Also, for multi-media, DisplayPort and Mini DisplayPort accept both video and audio signals simultaneously.

*A graphics board and software which support 10-bit output are also necessary for 10-bit display.

Fast Response Time, Ideal for video and motion graphics

An overdrive circuit is included to reduce gray-to-gray response time to 5 ms and ensure that movies and other moving images look clean and sharp with an absolute minimum of blurring and ghosting

Presence Sensor for Power Savings

EIZOs EcoView Sense feature unites convenience with energy savings by ensuring that the monitor automatically conserves power when it is not in use. EcoView Sense is an integrated presence sensor that prompts the monitor to switch to power save mode when it does not detect your presence for 70 seconds, and then resume normal operation when you return. To prevent the screen from reactivating when it shouldn't, EcoView Sense differentiates between your presence and a still object like an empty chair or general office activity in the background.

Energy and Environmental Efficiency Index

A user-activated EcoView Index displays the level of power savings and equivalent amount of C02 reduction compared to using the monitor without Auto EcoView activated and with the screen set at a brightness of 100%.

On-Screen LED Button Guide

Graphics professionals often work in a dimly lit environment which can make it difficult to read a monitor's adjustment buttons. The ColorEdge CG277, however, includes an on-screen LED button guide that labels what each of the buttons are for so you can easily navigate the OSD menu.
